NEON LAKE PRODUCTIONS IS AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION COMPANY BASED IN BARCELONA. WE SPECIALISE IN DOCUMENTARY STORYTELLING, SHEDDING LIGHT ON SOCIAL ISSUES AND DELVING INTO INTERESTING CULTURAL PHENOMENA.

Neon Lake Productions is an independent production company based in Barcelona. We specialise in documentary storytelling, shedding light on social issues and delving into interesting cultural phenomena.

We are currently in development with anthropologist Xiaoyue Li to follow the story of the Akha community during their most treasured celebration. Each year a swing is constructed from vine to celebrate the new year and link the communities scattered across the hillsides of four distinct nations in vibrant celebrations. However, with climate change making it harder and harder to find the vine the festival and wider community is shifting.
